For years, our current HOA management has taken our fees and not provided clear accounting. We're organizing a coalition of concerned residents to address these issues and restore proper oversight of our community resources.
Our goal is to implement transparent financial reporting and ensure that homeowner concerns are properly addressed. By working together, we can protect our property values and have a better board.
In working with the new board, we need to focus on the following main points:
- Immediate certified financial audit by a CPA firm NOT associated with Chaparral Management
- Forensic audit, also by a firm NOT associated with Chaparral Management, to determine where all the funds have been spent
- 2025 Budget completed within 60 days and presented to all homeowners
- All vendors should be chosen after three bids are obtained from companies NOT associated with Chaparral
- New website should be created immediately so homeowners have a way to access all HOA business/documents/news
- All vendor contracts should be posted on that official HOA website
- Many homeowners do not use Facebook and it should not be used for the primary distribution of HOA business and announcements
- Homeowners deserve a complete update regarding the status of contractors, payment of invoices, proof of funds
There are many issues that need to be addressed:
- Financial matters
- Alleyways
- Landscaping
- Deed Restrictions
- Void the contracts with the two new law firms and restore previous HOA attorney
