Did you know? In our community of 2,300 homes, one of 2023's new HOA board members was elected with just 9 votes. And only 150 homeowners participated in shaping Nottingham Country's future – that's less than 7% of our community making decisions that affect us all.
Serious Concerns Regarding Current HOA Board Decisions
- There are NO Audited Financial Statements for the last few YEARS. The CPA for the 2022 Audit was unable to complete the audit due to lack of necessary documentation for bank accounts and CDs. This is a huge red flag, especially since the funds are in excess of $1.5 million.
- Failure to fill multiple vacant board positions in spite of at least 5 well-qualified applicants. The bylaws clearly state that all empty positions “shall” be filled by appointment of current board members.
- There is NO qualified Treasurer on the current board. The President has been acting as Treasurer in spite of the bylaws requiring the separation of these two offices.
- Failure to provide detailed receipts for $24,000+ in Landscaping — Other expenditures despite repeated requests by homeowners and one board member. The yearly budget for this category is $7,500.
